Sharing the mission to make education more accessible and equitable.

Open Campus is pleased to present its first launch partner — TinyTap!

TinyTap is already leading the way in merging education with Web3 technologies. It is a pioneering platform that enables talented educators to distribute original, engaging teaching materials, while parents and students can tap into the content that best fits their needs. This elevates everyone’s experience and unshackles them from the limitations of “one size fits all” education.

TinyTap is a proven leader in education that utilizes user generated content (UGC). It is one of the top 10 grossing apps for kids worldwide. Its community includes over 9.5 million families and more than 250,000 educators, including both independent contributors and renowned brands such as Oxford University Press, The Learning Company, and Sesame Street. At the moment, the platform provides access to over 200,000 interactive lessons made by teachers around the world.

TinyTap’s Success in Blockchain

Open Campus’ first partner has already made strides in its mission to redefine the fundamentals of education. At the end of 2022, TinyTap released the 12 Publisher NFTs from its TinyCourses Genesis Collection, which altogether sold for nearly 243 ETH, or close to US$352,000 at the time.

TinyTap is giving talented educators the means to shape impactful learning experiences. Its successful Publisher NFT sales prove that education content creators and students (as well as their parents) value the direct connections they can form with each other through TinyTap’s platform — a goal that we aim to achieve for our Open Campus Protocol.

TinyTap’s Way: Publisher NFTs in Education

The Publisher NFTs released by TinyTap confer co-publishing rights to the teachers of any specific courses created on the TinyTap platform.

Each NFT sale leads to income for the Course creator, while the buyer becomes a co-publisher. With this new role, the buyer can promote the Course and in turn, share the profits as the educational materials are purchased by parents and learners around the world.

With this model, everybody wins — the original Course creator, the Publisher NFT’s buyer, and TinyTap. As more educators, content creators, and learners access TinyTap to acquire new, original learning materials, TinyTap becomes a gathering place where every stakeholder and participant has one shared goal: to elevate education in a way that the best modes of learning shine through.

Collaborative Support for Decentralized Education

Open Campus and TinyTap share a vision to connect talented educators with learners who are seeking new ways to build knowledge. By collaborating to bring education into Web3, the two projects are shaping new ways for teachers and education-focused content creators to interact with the learners who are finding out more about the world.

About TinyTap

TinyTap, a subsidiary of Animoca Brands, is the world’s largest educational games library with more than 200,000 activities made by educators and publishers including Sesame Street and Oxford University Press. The games on TinyTap are created using TinyTap’s code-free authoring platform and can be accessed by parents as part of TinyTap’s subscription or sold directly to families as courses. A portion of subscription revenue is shared with content creators based on the user engagement generated by their content.

TinyTap was founded in 2012 and is based in Tel Aviv. The company won US$1 million at the first Verizon Powerful Answers Award show and has received investment from Aleph, Inimiti, Reinvent VC, and others.
